Pennine Care

NHS Pennine Care’s CAMHS (Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services) for Stockport recently relocated to fully refurbished premises in the town centre. The new location at Stopford House boasts a bright, modern design which incorporates ideas from young people and their families, with 18 themed rooms for therapy, treatment and support, as well as office, meeting and breakout spaces for staff.

We worked closely with Pennine Care’s design team to deliver an extensive furniture package which not only offers the durability and comfort required for high traffic, public-facing environments, but also co-ordinates with each consultation room’s carefully chosen, unique theme and artwork. The welcoming, airy reception area features practical soft seating in soothing, organic finishes. The office area includes a space-saving bench system for at-the-desk work as well as flexible booths and work tables for hybrid working, informal meetings or time away from the desk.

Charlie Reid – Project Manager

This has been a particularly rewarding project to be involved in, and a perfect example of user-centric design that’s full of personality. This new CAMHS facility at the heart of our community here in Stockport feels non-institutional but also looks very different from a domestic environment.
