Abbey Gate College
Abbey Gate College is the longest running, independent, co-educational school for pupils aged 4 to 18 in the Chester area, with its Senior School and Sixth Form located in the Grade I listed Saighton Grange buildings. We delivered a comprehensive refurbishment and furniture package for the dedicated Sixth Form centre and Learning Enrichment department.
The Sixth Form space, divided into four areas, provides the 70 or so students with a comfortable, sociable environment to study and relax in, with a classroom, study/IT zone and large, multifunctional break-out space with kitchen and locker areas – all within the eves of the historic building. Enhanced connectivity in the space improves mobile working and collaborative teamwork.
Supporting students with Specific Learning Difficulties, the Learning Enrichment department consists of office, classroom and one-to-one/ time away spaces.
