Egan Reid Office Environments is a recognised specialist in workplace interior solutions, with a successful experience spanning across the SME, corporate, local authority, health and education sectors, nationally and locally.

Working with end users as well as architects, contractors and interior designers, we can take on as much or as little as required by our client, including: space planning and design, furniture supply, delivery and installation, fit-out, refurbishment and interior finishes, project management, office relocation, furniture removal and recycling. We have a real passion for workplace interiors and design, and very few can rival our innovative style and ability to deliver the right interior solutions project after project. Our service combines expert product knowledge, in-house project management and professional, experienced design and installation teams.

Space Planning & Design

Every workspace we design is different, and it’s our job to unleash its potential and ensure it works for you.

We take pride in delivering the best solution to a design challenge. Do you need to accommodate a growing team? Have you embraced hybrid working? Does your space need to cater for multiple uses? No project can go ahead until our client is entirely satisfied and close consultation is essential to get the best results.

  • Understanding the Brief

We listen to your brief, getting the most detailed picture of the existing space and what needs to be achieved so we can advise on all key aspects of your project.

  • Visualising the Space

All our plans are produced by our designers after an on-site audit. Standard 2D CAD plans are the norm, however we can also create a 3D conceptual visualisation or walkthrough, colour renders and mood boards.

  • Choosing Furniture & Finishes

Once a layout is finalised, we move on to selecting furniture and finishes – using fabric, MFC and veneer swatches as well as actual product samples when necessary.

Collaborative spaces

Spaces for teams to meet and collaborate in come in all shapes and sizes … from traditional meeting rooms or executive boardrooms to ‘away from the desk’ booths or fully flexible collaborative touchpoints. Workplace design nowadays is more and more about choosing the right furniture to encourage group work, creativity and communication. The right furniture choices will provide the ideal setting, bringing people together and removing barriers to effective co-working and sharing of ideas.

Our furniture ranges include meeting tables, seating and storage, collaboration and work tables, meeting booths and pods, media units and more. We also offer premium boardroom tables and furniture ranges, creating exclusive yet practical spaces.

Spaces within spaces

For all the benefits they offer, open plan offices certainly can be challenging when it comes to focussed work or privacy. Creating spaces within spaces, or zoning, can easily be achieved with the latest, most innovative pods and enclosed booths, architectural shelving systems or mobile screening and partitioning solutions – the best of both worlds, providing flexible, reconfigurable spaces without the need for walls.

Get in touch with our team to find out how your open plan office can accommodate small group gatherings, phone or web conferencing and quiet, focussed time.

Personal spaces

Although the traditional office model providing each member of staff with their own desk is no longer as prominent, the majority of office workers still spend most of their days sitting at a dedicated workstation, with varying needs for space, storage and privacy. At Egan Reid, we’re here to guide you through the many different styles of office chairs and desks available – for the office or home.

With many workplaces embracing hybrid working, there is growing demand for more flexible personal spaces that can be used by different colleagues at different times, with personal pods, solo workstations, and individual storage and lockers increasingly popular

Social spaces

Whether it’s a welcoming reception, a busy workplace café or relaxing breakout area, social spaces in the workplace are essential in creating the right environment for starting conversations, sharing ideas, or simply taking a break from work. They’re also very much about company image and culture, and can go a long way in boosting staff morale and productivity.

Social spaces often have to meet the needs of people from across teams and departments, as well as visitors. When choosing furniture and accessories, from soft seating to dining furniture, reception desks and more, think about who will be using those spaces so they can be multifunctional and practical, yet inviting and comfortable.

Workplace wellbeing

Colleague wellbeing has become a key driver when designing and furnishing workplaces and goes beyond ensuring people are sitting comfortably at their desk. With a greater understanding of the factors impacting physical and mental wellbeing, how they are linked and the benefits of ‘working well’ on productivity, creativity, job satisfaction, sickness or staff retention, we can now take a much wider ranging, holistic approach to workplace wellbeing.

Key furniture pieces and accessories to consider include sit-stand desks or dynamic seating to introduce movement, acoustic panels and decorations to absorb noise, plants, living walls or natural textures and finishes to add a biophilic dimension, natural light, air treatment solutions …
