Veterinary Specialists Scotland

Based in Livingston, Veterinary Specialists Scotland (VSS) is a newly opened multi-disciplinary referral hospital offering specialist veterinary services to pet owners and vets across Scotland and Northern England. The state-of-the-art facility reuses a fully refurbished HQ office building and prides itself in delivering a positive experience for patients, clients and staff.

Our team provided full space planning including multiple visual representations in order to not only bring the proposed design and finishes to life, but also to demonstrate how the furniture would fit within the overall welcoming, bright, light yet practical scheme. The colours and textures chosen are reminiscent of the local nature and landscape as well as in keeping with the client’s branding.

We supplied and installed all furniture for the reception, office and break out areas, plus some to consulting rooms. In particular, we specified high quality, antimicrobial and wipeable upholstery for all reception and waiting area seating for a pet-friendly, hygienic environment. The consulting rooms are equipped with ergonomic saddle seat stools which can be adjusted between low and high working positions, allowing for dynamic movement and optimum comfort. The staff break spaces have an on-trend, understated retro feel with tapered table and seating legs in contrasting finishes.

The completed design contributes to a warm, calming environment, and is built to last with minimal maintenance requirements.
