Bruce and Ted Take on The Climb of Life 2024
On a misty November morning, Egan Reid's Managing Director, Bruce, and his trusty cockapoo Ted set off for the annual Climb of Life. No strangers to the peaks of the Lake District, the duo joined over 100 determined fundraisers for a day of challenging hikes, ascents, descents, and plenty of good company- all in the name of charity.

For 37 years, the Climb of Life has been dedicated to raising money for charitable causes, most notably focusing on raising vital funds for the Institute of Cancer Research (ICR) for the past 18. The event has contributed an incredible £2 million to the ICR, with close to £100,000 raised this year alone.
This year, Bruce proudly represented the Egan Reid family, securing an impressive fourth place among the top corporate fundraisers with a remarkable £4,075 added to the overall total. Thank you to our incredible contacts, suppliers, and customers for supporting this crucial cause, one that touches the lives of so many.
The Climb of Life supports the ICR’s groundbreaking research into the causes and treatment of cancer. With one in two people affected by this devastating disease, initiatives like these play a pivotal role in advancing the science needed to combat it. Thanks to the tireless efforts of researchers, and the generosity of charitable supporters, progress continues to be made.
Of course, no reflection on the day would be complete without a nod to Ted, who stole the show in his striking orange Egan Reid gear. Here's to Bruce, Ted, and all the incredible fundraisers for a climb well climbed!
