In November each year, members of the office products industry band together to scale the Lake District's highest peaks to raise vital funds for cancer research in support of the Institute of Cancer Research. Egan Reid nominated managing director, Bruce Davie, as tribute and he really did us proud.
Although this wasn't his first rodeo, it was his crazy cockapoo, Ted's, first Climb of Life adventure. On the 10th November, Ted donned his best Egan Reid climbing gear, and he and Bruce powered through the climb, graced with beautiful clear weather and great company throughout.
"Thank you to everyone who supported Egan Reid on this year's Climb of Life 2023. For only the 3rd time in 36 years of this event it was wall to wall sunshine on Friday. Our efforts raised £2,595 towards the overall total of over £71,000 which is a truly remarkable result. Ted loved climbing his first mountain!" - Bruce.
The Climb of Life is committed to helping towards ICR's vital discovery programme into the causes of an effective treatment of cancer. Cancer affects one in every two of us at some point in our lives and continues to be the most dreadful disease. The ICR and others continue to make progress in the science to combat cancer and with charitable support like this, they can all make a difference.
