Get to know our people that make up the Egan Reid team. We're catching up with Chris Smith, Print Manager.

How long have you worked in Print and at Egan Reid?

I have 28 years experience of working at various levels in the Print, Promotional Print and Signage sector and I have been at Egan Reid for a year.

Describe your role in four words.

Consultation, Communication, Coordinate, Facilitate.

What does your typical work day look like?

My role is a consultative role and consists of meetings and advising customers/potential customers regarding any upcoming and current projects. I spend time taking briefs, liaising with our supply chain and ensuring the highest quality service possible is provided for our customers.

What have you achieved at Egan Reid that you’re particularly proud of?

We launched the signage division last year and we've gone from strength to strength. Together with Jo, we've achieved the highest print sales turnover in the history of Egan Reid within the first year of being employed.

Outside of work, how do you enjoy spending your time?

My passion is football, namely Manchester United, well, watching it these days! I enjoy music, socialising with friends and spending quality time with my family.

What’s on your bucket list?

To see the Aurora Borealis.

Heard any good tips lately?

Yes- soft boiled eggs in the airfryer at 190° for 6:45 mins.

What did you want to be when you grew up?

A footballer!

Do you have a daily ritual at work that helps you to keep feeling productive?

Keeping hydrated.

If you were to switch jobs with a colleague for a day, who would it be and why?

Charlie Reid, I am interested in the office fit-out process from plan to completion.

Who do you think is the best in the world at what they do?

Sir Alex Ferguson.
