Jo is the other half of our expert Print Team at Egan Reid. She's our in-house designer and specializes in all-things print- when your print order comes through here, it's Jo's meticulous eye that ensures it's in tip-top shape and ready to go.


Get to know our people that make up the Egan Reid team. We're catching up with Jo Riding, Designer and Print Specialist.
How long have you worked in print and at Egan Reid?
I have 17 years of print and design experience and have been at Egan Reid for just over a year.
Describe your role in four words.
Design, Co-ordinate, Communicate, Fast-paced.
What does your typical work day look like?
My typical day is fast-paced, constantly evolving and requires a high level of accuracy; prioritising in order to hit deliverables whilst ensuring the department runs smoothly and efficiently. It usually comprises of, advising and quoting customers, proofing live jobs for approval for production, artwork amends, designing, adjusting artwork to print standards and creating presentations to accompany quotes.
What have you achieved at Egan Reid that you’re particularly proud of?
Expanding and building upon the company’s print offerings and pushing the department forward over the last year. I’m proud we have had the best year of print the company has had.
Do you have a daily ritual at work that helps you to keep feeling productive?
Caffeine and music.
What did you want to be when you grew up?
A Nurse or Vet. But I don’t like blood!
Outside of work, how do you enjoy spending your time?
I enjoy the outdoors - hiking, biking (I have three!), and camping. Good food, spending time with friends, Formula 1 and music.
What’s on your bucket list?
To have a VW campervan to explore more of the country. Also to fix my classic Mini and get it back on the road.
Heard any good tips lately?
If you struggle to open a jar, break the seal by using a bottle opener on the edge of the lid.
Who do you think is the best in the world at what they do?
Lewis Hamilton, he has won a joint-record seven World Drivers' Championship titles and is the most successful British driver in Formula One history.
