Meet Rob Moran, an all-round Egan Reid superstar, he certainly knows a thing or two about a thing or two. We're getting to know him, and his role as Sales Support, a little better.

How long have you worked in the industry and at Egan Reid?

Complicated question- I worked at Egan Reid for 26 years in numerous roles before leaving in 2022, I came back in September 2023 after a stint selling street furniture.

Describe your role in four words.

Sourcing everything and anything.

What does your typical work day look like?

Imagine a length of string with a hundred knots in it, I spend my day unpicking the knots.

What have you achieved at Egan Reid that you’re particularly proud of?

My evolution! I’ve done quite a few roles in the company, from Delivery Driver to Customer Service, to Account Handler, and now my current role of Sales Support with a dash of Purchasing thrown in for good measure.

Do you have a daily ritual at work that helps you to keep feeling productive?

Drink lots of tea, use lots of sarcasm.

If you were to switch jobs with a colleague for a day, who would it be and why?

There’s not many I haven’t had a go at (see above) but maybe Marketing, that looks nice and easy?

What did you want to be when you grew up?

When I was very young, I wanted to be a dustbin man.

Outside of work, how do you enjoy spending your time?

With my girls- my wife and daughter.

Are you reading any books currently?

I’m re-reading the Dune series by Frank Herbert.

What’s on your bucket list?

To do a "drive and dine" across the U.S.A.

Who do you think is the best in the world at what they do?

Pep Guardiola (we won't tell Chris!)
